MICHAELA DEPRINCE

Defying Gravity

Seven years ago, Michaela was offered a job at the Dutch National Ballet’s Junior company. In those 7 years, Michaela climbed up the ranks and is now a 2nd soloist at the National Ballet. Michaela had the opportunity to work with Beyonce on her album ‘Lemonade’. Michaela has also done big collaborations as the face of Jockey, and JP Morgan Chase campaigns. Besides being passionate about ballet, Michaela is also proud to be a humanitarian. She is an ambassador of War Child NL and has done a lot of events and trips for War Child all over the world. On November 4, 2019, Michaela organized her first gala to raise money for children in war and conflict. With the money that was raised, War Child was able to help more than 5000 children for a whole year. At just 18-years old, Michaela published ‘Taking Flight’ and ‘Ballerina Dreams with Elaine DePrince’. Michaela wants to inspire young people by sharing her story, not at charity events, but also at corporate events at Google, ASOS, and PVH. Next to giving people hope, and inspiring people to dare to dream, Michaela also inspires people like MGM and Madonna, who will be making a movie about Michaela’s life. At the beginning of next year, Michaela will be featured in her first Motion Picture in Coppelia the movie, based on the ballet piece.

On November 4, 2019, we organized an event for War Child Holland to raise awareness and funds for children in war and conflict in AFAS Live, Amsterdam.
